DOGS ON BOARD

Dogs are welcome on board! Please bring beach towels or similar to protect the upholstery! We sadly will have to charge you in case of any damage like scratches and holes. The cleaning service fee will be 10€.

PAYMENTS AND DEPOSIT

You could pay online, via Stripe, a card payments platform, just like Paypal. Facebook and Google use them for payments!

To rent every kind of vehicles is mandatory a deposit, a valid ID Card and sign a rent contract. Bail is 300 € to deposit on site. You could use a credit card, bank check or cash for a deposit. We will not collect this money from your card. The deposit will be returned after verifying that the boat is in the same conditions as at the start of the rental. It is mandatory to have sufficient funds in his bank account for the withdrawal of the security deposit at the time of the booking request, and to keep sufficient funds on this account until completion or until any dispute is done.

Valid documents: identity card, driving license, passport. However, we do not recommend that you bring your passport with you, just leave it safe and you will avoid losing it!

SANITATION AND ENVIROMENT

Boats will be washed and sanitized before and after every use. LIN only uses natural cleaning products, non-polluting solutions. We use the best sanitizing products to ensure no covid transmission.

We will provide disposable mono-use sealed biodegradable cutlery.

It’s strictly forbidden to throw or abandon every kind of waste. Even food must be brought back in our package.

LICENSE AND REGULATION

NO LICENSE is required, nor boat or car. It is mandatory to be at least 16 years old. Driving a boat, it is important to drive smoothly, remember that it does not turn like a car, but maneuvers are much slower and require space.

DO NOT get closer than 50 meters to shore with a running engine. DO NOT get closer to fishing lines and wood poles. In shallow waters, harbour, docks, and entry lines proceed at a walking pace. In shallow waters, keep the engine up. Keep distance from buoys, platform and any other floating object. Always keep at least 50 meters between you and other boats. You must always let swimmers, sailboats, sups, kayaks pass first. In general, always drive safe and let others pass first.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We’ll be very sorry you had to cancel your reservation due to force majeure! But don’t worry, such things happen, we provide a quick and efficient refund policy.

If you want to cancel up to 4 days before your reservation, we will refund the full amount (minus expenses). Reach us at +39 379 2638275 or rent@linnautica.it to arrange a refund or rebooking at a later date of your choice (subject to seat availability).

BAD WEATHER

Only in case of bad weather condition that do not allow safe use of the boats,, we can shift the date of your reservation according to our availability, or refund (minus expenses). Only LIN staff could determine weather condition.

BOAT FAILURE

Our boats are equipped with every emergency device. Call us and we will help you or reach and rescue you.

We apply the same rules of car rental: the boat must be returned in the same condition, with intact onboard equipment. Please follow our instructions and advice and everything will be fine! If the boat is damaged or not returned in the condition in which it was delivered, then a commensurate charge will be made to cover the cost of repairs. If those damages will make the rent impossible for other customers, we will have to charge you those customers refund. Stay away from the shore, very shallow water (new propeller 200€ and one day off rent), handle the anchor properly (new anchor 50€), stay away from seaweed (engine failure!), and moor at the docks only if you are able (boat repair 60€/h).

If accidentally drop something in the water, DO NOT try to reach it! Due to the current, low visibility, and muddy bottom, it’s impossible and unsafe trying to reach anything!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We recommend that you bring sunscreen, a beach towel, flip-flops, sunglasses and a hat (remembered: do not wear hats while sailing: it may fly away!) A light jacket or a sweatshirt could be helpful in the evening, especially for children.

We advise NOT bring all your documents (like passport o driving licenses) and payments cards on board! To rent the boat, you’ll need only one person’s document!

DELAYS

You can book until 10.00 in the morning and until 15.00 in the afternoon, to guarantee you an optimal duration. You can withdraw the boats even later, but you must return by 13.30 in the morning and 19.30 in the evening.

Every late delay exceeding 15 minutes, will be charged as an extra hour.

SPEED LIMITS

The maximum speed limit for all crafts navigating on Lake Trasimeno is set at 20 knots (37 km/h) during the day. You must proceed at a walking pace in shallow waters, harbour, docks, and entry lines. Approach slowly the shore and turn off the engine at least within 50 meters. Drive at high speed is very dangerous also for the most experienced drivers, drive safe!

TIMETABLE

Rent starts at 8.30 a.m. Boats must be returned by 13.30 in the morning rents, and 19.30 in the afternoon rents (or whole day). Every late will be charged as an extra hour (25€) We kindly ask you to show up at least 15 minutes before your schedule!
